Star India announces Indiasign as ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2021 broadcasting Partner.
Indiasign, the leading broadcast and new mediatech service provider, has announced that Star Sports, part of Star India, partnered with the company for global distribution services for ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2021, held in various locations across Oman, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai.
This news comes at the heel of the successful completion of Indian Premier League 2021, for which Star Sports, the host broadcaster and rights holder of the series, had also partnered with Indiasign for its excellent managed broadcasting services.
Indiasign deployed crews to multiple venues in two countries, moving between Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Oman. Indiasign covered 45 matches in the series and a cumulative 400 hours over 28 days. For the event, several sets of HD and SD SNG vehicles with advanced satellite communications equipment were deployed at all venues in a dual-stream backup configuration. Indiasign uplinked the feeds straight from the event locations via the HD/SD SNGs on-site. Star Sports received the live feed from the stadiums via Indiasign at its studios in India for production and further customization for its networks.
The leading mediatech firm for live event uplinking, Indiasign’s hosts one of the best satcom teams globally. Sanjay Khanna, Senior Vice President – Sales at Indiasign, said, “Star Sports is extremely demanding in terms of their expectations of quality of service, and in high-importance international events such as the official ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2021, partnering with Indiasign became a clear choice due to our excellence in broadcasting services.”
